Project Description:
The regional headquarters of the Tax Agency in Malaga was conceived as a unique architectural piece, inspired by the shape and character of a ship. This formal reference was transferred to the design through clean lines, dynamic volumes, and a spatial organization that evokes the structure of a vessel, reinforcing the institutional identity of the building and its link to the city's port environment.
A functional, efficient, and representative building was designed, capable of housing the various administrative units in a comfortable, accessible, and technologically advanced working environment. The interior layout was organized into levels that simulate decks, with walkways, vertical communication cores, and open spaces that promote circulation and transparency.
The envelope was designed with energy efficiency, solar control, and durability in mind, using materials that refer to the naval world, such as metal, glass, and neutral-toned cladding. Intelligent air conditioning systems, optimized natural lighting, and construction solutions that guarantee thermal and acoustic comfort were incorporated.
This intervention has consolidated a modern, symbolic institutional building that is fully integrated into the urban fabric of Malaga, projecting an image of rigor, openness, and public service.
