Extremadura Employment Service Offices

Cáceres, Spain

Offices

Project Description:

The new office of the Extremadura Public Employment Service (SEXPE) in Cáceres was conceived as a new public building, designed to offer a functional, accessible, and representative environment for citizen services. Its architecture was defined by a clear commitment to formal innovation and the reinforcement of institutional identity.

A unique envelope was designed, in which the windows take center stage as compositional and functional elements. Their shape, rhythm, and arrangement optimize natural light, improve thermal performance, and give the building a recognizable and contemporary image. This formal strategy helped to differentiate the facility within the urban landscape, reinforcing its public character.

The institutional colors of the SEXPE were applied to key elements of the design, integrating them into the façade, signage, and interior finishes, which helped to consolidate a coherent and approachable visual identity. The spatial organization was structured to facilitate user service, operational efficiency, and environmental comfort, incorporating smart climate control systems, efficient lighting, and sustainable materials.

This intervention consolidated a new model of administrative architecture in Extremadura, combining innovation, functionality, and commitment to public service.
